Sanctuary Choir Members: This ministry is open to anyone who loves the Lord and desires to worship Him through music. Time commitment: Wednesday rehearsals, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday worship services at 8:30, 9:45 and/or 11:00 a.m., participation in special music for revivals, Easter, Christmas and Patriotic concerts and other services as needed.
Youth Choir Sponsors: Working with youth choirs requires a love for the youth along with a desire to see them grow and learn to worship the Lord through music. Time commitment: Sunday rehearsals from 5:30 to 6:30p.m. (August through June), mission trips and musicals.
Senior Adult Choir (Voices in Praise): Open to any senior adult who enjoys music. Time commitment: Rehearsals are 1st Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm with dinner following and the 3rd Tuesday at 12:45 pm; participate in services and mission trips.
Set Builders: These persons with varying skills of ability help construct sets for the Christmas and Easter concerts. Time commitment: Daytime, evening and/or Saturdays, three weeks prior to the Easter and Christmas musicals.
Seamstresses and Costumers: These individuals with varied abilities in sewing or costume design assist with costumes for the Christmas and Easter musicals. Time commitment: On your own time, the two months preceding the Christmas and Easter musicals.
Communion Committee: This committee prepares the cups and bread for Communion services as scheduled. Time commitment: 2 hours before each scheduled service and 1 hour after each scheduled service.
Ushers: Ushers greet people, distribute ministry guides, seat latecomers, and receive the offering. Ushers are present for all regular services and for special services and concerts. Time commitment: ½ hour before regular services; 1 hour before special events.
Audio Ministry: These individuals with experience in sound mixing (or with a desire to be trained) assist during special productions or during the weekly services of the church. Time commitment: Sunday mornings/evenings, Wednesday evenings and two weeks prior to and during the Easter and Christmas musicals and other special events of the church.
Video Ministry: This ministry is for those with experience or those willing to be trained in running cameras and projected media for our Sunday morning worship services and some special services. Time commitment: Sunday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and possibly evenings for special services.
Tape/CD Ministry: Volunteers duplicate, label and distribute recordings of messages from our worship services. Time commitment: Sunday mornings & evenings after the services.
Sanctuary Orchestra and Praise Band Members: Anyone who has had training or experience in playing an orchestral instrument is invited to contact the music office for an interview/audition. Each member should be able to play in all major and minor keys and read with an intermediate proficiency. Time commitment: Wednesday rehearsals from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., playing for 8:30, 9:45, and/or 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship service, revivals, Easter, Christmas and Patriotic concerts, and other services as needed.
Children’s Choir Workers: This ministry is for anyone with a love for children and a desire to see them grow and learn to worship the Lord through music. There are places of service for adults with varied amounts of musical training or no musical training at all. Time commitment: Sunday rehearsals from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (August through May)
Children’s Choir Chime and Handbell Workers: This ministry is an extension of Children’s Choir. Helpers are needed (no musical experience necessary) as well as leaders of the three handbell choirs for 3rd through 8th grade. Time commitment: Wednesday rehearsals from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (September through May)
